Springdale is an
All-Season Town. All major highways into Zion National
Park are open and maintained year round. While we are open
all year, you may prefer to visit us in the off-season
months between October and April as the park is less
crowded, and it holds many scenic surprises.
In addition to some of the most spectacular
scenery in Utahs Color Country, Springdale offers a
variety of enjoyable activities such as:
Hiking Biking Horseback Riding for all levels
Horseback Trail Rides for experienced
riders
Photography River Tubing Fishing
Rock Climbing • Rockhounding
Swimming Backpacking
Catching glimpses of local wildlife
Enjoying the fields of wildflowers
Springdale is
host to many festive annual celebrations including St.
Patricks Day, Pioneer Day and Fourth of July. Enjoy
a hearty meal in one of our fine restaurants, and visit a
variety of galleries and Native American, rock and gift
shops. Experience live theater and outdoor summer
entertainment in the O.C. Tanner Theater. Take in a
spectacular movie on a six-story-high screen.
Nearby Cedar City is home to the world-famous annual Utah
Shakespearean Festival which runs from June through
September.
Zion National Park offers some of the most
spectacular and majestic scenery in the world. Visitors
delight in the crystal clear streams, virgin forests and
the variety of flora and fauna. Stand in awe at the
towering sandstone cliffs that climb up to 4000 feet
above the canyon floor. Watch the unforgettable show of
light on the multicolored sandstone as it glows during
stunning sunrises and sunsets.
Zion is truly a national park for all seasons.
Enjoy fields of spring wildflowers. Summers are very
warm, but the low humidity is ideal for swimming in our
pool, or floating down the Virgin River in an inner tube.
Autumn is magnificent with its spectacular shows of
colors. Winters are mild with average daytime
temperatures in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
No matter when you choose to visit Zion
National Park, youll enjoy your stay, and
youll find lots to see and do.
